I bought a new mouse today!

After talking to Abi, I mainly went to PetSmart to look at the Bettas, but I made the mistake of looking at the mice. Saw an adorable little black and white girl that I just had to bring home. She's very small and very cute.

I figured she'd probably end up being named Demeter or Isis, since those were two popular names from when we were trying to decide for Athena and Ishtar (and we have to keep the Goddess theme!). I can't remember what other ones you guys liked, so let me know if you do!

Currently Athena is being amazing; she's taking to the new addition wonderfully, hasn't even really paid much attention to the new girl except for a bit of sniffing. Ishtar, however, is being a bitch; she's wanting to attack and bite her. So I'm really going to have to watch that; this new girl is a lot smaller than Ishtar, so she could really get hurt. I keep wishing Athena would put Ishtar in her place. XD Athena is my really docile, intelligent mouse. Ishtar is the dumber, slightly more aggressive one, I've noticed. Neither of them ever bite me, but Ishtar even bites Athena sometimes. Since I consider them "lesbian" mice (especially when they cuddle), well, Ishtar is definitely the butch. So her girlfriend needs to make her behave, right now.

It's only every now and then that she starts chasing the new baby. The new girl is currently loving to run on the wheel, but every now and then, Ishtar will come up to her and nip at her. Then chase her around a bit. :/ I do hope she gets over herself, though, because the new mouse is adorable and I really want to keep her. I also don't want her to get hurt. And if for any reason I can't keep her with the other two, my mamaw will throw a fit because I don't have "enough room" for a second aquarium in my room. I'm hoping it'll just take time for Ishtar to accept this new presence in her world; she took to being moved with Athena in pretty well, besides a few spats.


I think Ishtar and Athena just went into the igloo together, so maybe Ishtar can work out her frustration through lesbo mouse sex and calm the fuck down. XD I'm kidding, of course, but those two do cuddle a lot!
